Job summary

General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking an Equipment Specialist to oversee the national vehicle maintenance program, serving as the main contact for MCC and coordinating repairs and maintenance for fleet personnel and agencies.

The role requires evaluating repair costs, ensuring contract compliance, and coordinating with manufacturers to secure warranted repairs with minimal government expense, while providing timely customer support and data-driven analysis for MCC improvements.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in the automotive field or related automotive duties.
• Experience evaluating repair estimates and ensuring cost-effectiveness of work.
• Experience ensuring compliance with contractor agreements for repairs and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for MCC and guide customers through vehicle maintenance process.
• Review repair estimates and ensure adherence to contract requirements and industry standards.
• Coordinate with manufacturers' reps to obtain warranted repairs at minimal cost to Government.
• Provide timely customer assistance by researching records and interviewing contacts to follow up on MCC operations.
• Verify contractual agreements with cross-service contractors and resolve issues about obligations.
