Job summary

General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking an Equipment Specialist to monitor and optimize the national vehicle maintenance program. Location is negotiable after selection as vacancies are filled in the Federal Acquisition Service.

The role involves serving as a primary point of contact for MCC, reviewing estimates, and coordinating with manufacturers for warranted repairs, ensuring contract compliance and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience gained in the automotive field.
• Experience evaluating repair costs and ensuring contractor cost-effectiveness.
• Ability to analyze repair data and advise management on issues.
• Familiarity with data systems and reporting for fleet maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for MCC and guide customers and contractors through maintenance processes.
• Review repair estimates for cost-effectiveness and contract compliance.
• Coordinate with manufacturers to obtain warranted repairs at minimal government cost.
• Provide timely customer assistance by researching records and interviewing contacts.
