Job summary

Stantec is seeking a US Distribution Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate our Distribution Line practice nationwide. This senior role shapes strategy, elevates technical delivery, and builds an integrated practice positioned for growth.

Reporting to the Power Delivery Operations Manager, you will align resources, mentor distributed teams, and ensure projects meet quality and safety standards while advancing grid modernization and reliability for clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
Licensed Professional Engineer in at least one U.S. state.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in Distribution line engineering and leadership.
Experience leading multiple teams, offices, or distributed engineering practice.
Experience with business development, client engagement, and proposals.

Responsibilities

Lead the U.S. Distribution practice as a single integrated national team.
Provide leadership and performance oversight to Distribution line managers and their teams.
Develop and execute the strategic vision, growth plan, and operational objectives for the U.S. Distribution line practice.
Drive consistent utilization, workforce planning, and resource management across the organization.
Mentor team members and provide technical guidance where needed.
Track and report progress, performance indicators, and resource needs.
