Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a US Distribution Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate our Distribution Line engineering practice across the United States. This national leadership role focuses on strategy, technical excellence, and scalable delivery.

Reporting to the Power Delivery Operations Manager, you will align resources, manage staffing, mentor engineers, and drive growth across offices while delivering high-value distribution programs for utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical engineering and PE license.
• 15+ years of distributed line engineering and leadership experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams in an engineering consulting setting.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and engage clients.
• Proven ability to win work, manage resources and lead multi-office teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the US Distribution practice as a single integrated national team.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance oversight to managers and teams.
• Develop and execute strategic vision, growth plans, and objectives.
• Drive utilization, workforce planning, and resource management.
• Mentor staff and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Track progress and KPIs, and report to leadership meetings.
• Balance workload with operations, sector leadership, and project managers.
• Ensure staffing and delivery align with quality, safety, and standards.
• Support recruitment, succession planning, and professional development.
• Build industry relationships and represent Stantec at events.
