Job summary

Stantec is seeking a US Distribution Engineering Manager to lead, advance, and coordinate our Distribution Line engineering and design practice across the United States. This is a highly visible national leadership opportunity for an influential industry professional who is motivated to shape strategy, elevate technical and delivery excellence, and build an integrated practice positioned for growth.

Reporting to the Power Delivery Operations Manager, you will provide national leadership for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical or related engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in at least one U.S. state.
• 15+ years of distributed engineering leadership and project delivery.
• Experience with utility distribution design standards and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering managers and distributed teams across offices.
• Define strategy, growth plans, and operational objectives for the practice.
• Oversee staffing, resource management, and project delivery quality.
• Mentor staff and develop leadership depth across regions.
• Manage client engagement, proposals, and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations, sector leadership, and project managers.
• Ensure safety, standards, and high-quality engineering outputs.
• Represent Stantec in client meetings and industry events.
