Job summary

Stantec is seeking a US Distribution Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate our Distribution Line engineering and design practice across the United States.

You will report to the Power Delivery Operations Manager, provide national leadership, align people, project delivery, and program support, and build an integrated practice positioned for growth in grid modernization, reliability, and electrification initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or related engineering from an accredited university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in at least one U.S. state, with ability to obtain additional registrations.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in Distribution line engineering, project delivery, technical leadership, or engineering management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams and offices (geographically distributed).
• Strong knowledge of the U.S. electric utility distribution market and grid modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the U.S. Distribution practice as a single integrated national team.
• Provide leadership and performance oversight to Distribution line engineering managers and their teams.
• Develop and execute the strategic vision, growth plan, and operational objectives for the U.S. Distribution line practice.
• Drive workforce planning, resource management, and project delivery across regions.
• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance where needed.
• Track progress and report on performance indicators and resource needs.
