Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Project Planner to develop and manage job plans for assigned projects. The role collaborates with the Site Superintendent and Project Manager to review plans, procure resources, and coordinate with architects, owners, and subcontractors to ensure on-schedule execution.

The ideal candidate has a construction management background, strong communication, and problem-solving skills, with BIM360 experience and knowledge of codes and blueprints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of building codes and blueprints.
• Experience with BIM360 or similar construction software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and complete a job plan for an assigned project.
• Review plans and specifications to understand job requirements.
• Procure tools, labor, and some materials.
• Interact with architects and owners to resolve issues.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors and clients.
• Track progress, costs, and adjust schedules as needed.
