Job summary

Delaware Valley Paving is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to grow national accounts and expand relationships across the country. You will identify opportunities, open doors, and close deals while collaborating with Estimating, Operations, and Project Management to ensure delivery excellence.

Ideal candidates have a proven sales track record, excellent presentation and negotiation skills, and a hunter mentality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3+ years in business development, sales, or account management in construction or B2B services.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and driving revenue growth.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within target industries and national markets.
• Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to build a strong pipeline of qualified prospects.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing national clients - driving sales growth and account expansion.
• Lead client presentations, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure estimates, proposals, and project execution align with client expectations.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to uncover additional needs and upsell new services or regions.
• Track and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure growth goals are met or exceeded.
• Support the VP of Account Management in developing nationwide growth strategies, renewals, and long-term partnerships.
• Represent Delaware Valley Paving at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to increase visibility and lead generation.
