Job summary

Cogent Communications is hiring for an in-office regional sales role focused on the Mid Market sector. You will identify new business opportunities, qualify leads, and build relationships with key decision makers across national accounts in the US.

This position offers a base salary range of $40,000–$100,000 with commission potential, in-office mentorship, and a full benefits package. Candidates should have strong communication, prospecting skills, and experience with CRM tools.

Qualifications

• Recent sales experience required.
• Ability to identify, qualify and generate new business through prospecting and research.
• Strong oral and written communication required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with revenue deadlines.
• CRM knowledge is a plus.
• College degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within the region via hunting and prospecting.
• Qualify opportunities and engage with Key Decision Makers.
• Supplement prospecting with field activities and in-person meetings.
• Position Cogent services to meet connectivity needs for large clients.
• Help Cogent customers by positioning services for new business.
• Aim to achieve monthly revenue targets in major commercial buildings.
