Job summary

Akebia Therapeutics in the United States is seeking a National Account Manager to develop and execute strategic account plans, optimizing access, sales and outcomes for Akebia’s product through partnerships with large dialysis organizations and nephrology networks. This role emphasizes collaboration with regional leadership and Medical Affairs.

The NAM will drive dialysis pull-through of Akebia National Account strategies, aligning with LDO/MDO and IDN initiatives, and will work across RVPs,

Qualifications

• BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Renal or similar therapeutic space.
• Proven track record of effective account management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute national and regional account strategies aligned with Akebia’s objectives.
• Drive initiatives to secure and expand Vafseo access across dialysis organizations and support account adoption.
• Plan and conduct quarterly business reviews with Regional VPs or assigned executives.
• Collaborate with LDO/MDO RVPs/Area Directors and RQMs and LGPs on strategic initiatives.
• Communicate clinical, health economic, and business data to customers in a compelling manner.
• Travel up to 50% within the U.S. to foster relationships and drive pull-through.
