Job summary

Akebia Therapeutics is seeking a National Account Manager to drive strategic partnerships with Dialysis Organizations, LDOs/MDOs, and LGPs. The NAM will advance access to Vafseo and manage cross-functional initiatives at a national and regional level.

The role focuses on optimizing patient outcomes, sales strategy, and collaboration with Medical Affairs, with travel up to 50% across the U.S. Northern California region includes San Francisco and Fresno.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Renal or similar therapeutic space.
• Proven track record of effective account management skills.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities.
• Advanced negotiation skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute national and regional account strategies.
• Drive initiatives to secure Vafseo access across dialysis organizations and support account adoption.
• Lead quarterly business reviews with Regional VPs or assigned executives.
• Develop programs with LDO/MDO RVPs/Area Directors and RQMs and LGPs.
• Support Medical Affairs and educate customers on Akebia initiatives.
• Travel up to 50% within the U.S.
