Job summary

Vertiv Co is seeking a Field Technician to support start-up, commissioning, emergency service and troubleshooting of 15kV AC switchgear and related devices. You will interact with customers, monitor equipment conditions and perform preventive maintenance while coordinating with CRC, supervisors and managers.

The role requires strong electrical knowledge, field service experience, and the ability to manage your own schedule. Valid driver's license and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with medium voltage switchgear or field services.
• Training in electrical theory and technologies; military experience is a plus.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints for power control and automation.
• Experience with programming PLCs and HMIs is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of 15kV AC switchgear and related equipment.
• Establish and maintain rapport with customers, co-workers and sales representatives.
• Evaluate operating conditions of equipment and interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Manage own schedule with initiative and self-motivation.
• Perform general and preventive maintenance on switchgear and respond to emergency calls.
• Provide timely and accurate timecards and expense reports.
• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to safety compliance.
