Job summary

Vertiv in the United States seeks a Field Supervisor to lead a service team focused on start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of electrical switchgear up to 15kV. Qualifications

• Graduate of applicable Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent and nine years minimum same or similar work experience
• Or High school education or equivalent and ten years minimum same or similar work experience
• Working knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution, Generators, Switchgear, Automatic Transfer Switches
• Good knowledge of National Electrical Code and standards (OSHA/NFPA)
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and blueprints
• Strong communication and supervisory skills
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to manage customer expectations during stressful situations

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and assist field service technicians in the area
• Perform complex troubleshooting and specialized tests on electrical systems
• Oversee large projects and turnkey projects with detailed power surveys
• Prepare estimates, proposals, fieldwork, scheduling, reports and billing
• Maintain client interfaces and support business development activities
• Ensure safety and quality procedures are followed
