Job summary

SMA America is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Medium Voltage to support the Midwest region, including Indianapolis. The role involves testing, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of MV systems in the field, with substantial travel and a company truck provided.

Ideal candidates bring MV experience from utility or industrial environments, a strong electrical skill set, and readiness to work across Level I–III responsibilities as the position evolves. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Testing, maintenance and repair of MV systems in the field.
• Willingness to travel regionally across the Midwest.
• Background in electrical trades or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair SMA MV systems in the field.
• Support warranty repairs and technical issues for customers.
• Coordinate with MV engineering to implement solutions and escalations.
