Job summary

SMA America is seeking a Field Service Engineer, Medium Voltage for the Western region, based in Las Vegas, NV. The role entails testing, maintenance, and repairs of SMA Medium Voltage systems in the field, with substantial regional travel and a company truck provided for site work.

Three levels are available; level assigned during interview based on experience. Training, MV certification support, and a defined technical career path are offered to enable growth within SMA America.

Qualifications

• At least one year of hands-on electrical/field service experience.
• Exposure to medium voltage equipment (transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers).
• Associate degree or equivalent experience in electrical tech or related training.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily site safety briefings and identify hazards.
• Test, inspect, maintain, and repair SMA Large Scale Medium Voltage systems in field locations.
• Perform testing, documentation, and reporting of field activities.
