Job summary

SMA America is seeking a Field Service Engineer, Medium Voltage, for the Central region (Dallas, TX). The role involves testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of SMA Medium Voltage systems in the field, with significant travel and a company truck provided for site visits.

The candidate will work with the MV engineering team, support warranty and service activities, and participate in training programs at SMA facilities.

Qualifications

• Must have field service experience and be able to perform testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on electrical equipment.
• Experience with medium- voltage systems and safety standards preferred.
• Willingness to travel regionally across the Central US and beyond as needed.

Responsibilities

• Test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair SMA Medium Voltage systems in the field.
• Handle Medium Voltage escalations for SMA customers and suppliers.
• Support warranty repairs, technical support, and extensive testing of MV products.
