Job summary

Guitar Center Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the team responsible for receiving, stocking, merchandising, and floor presentation in line with planograms and promotions.

The role focuses on driving EBITDA, sales, and margins while nurturing a culture of integrity and music passion. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in retail/warehouse operations, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with stock control, signage audits, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in retail or warehouse setting.
• Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to work in a loud environment for 5-8 hours.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to achieve EBITDA, sales, and margin goals.
• Ensure proper staffing levels within the department.
• Assist in training all level of operations associates.
• Shipping and receiving of gear and other store related items.
• Warehouse organization and stocking and maintenance of the facility.
• Loss prevention and safety, inventory management, cash management, and business reporting.
• Conduct standardized signage/pricing audits on a weekly basis, ensuring product is merchandised to planogram standards.
• Driving sales by acting manager in charge when necessary.
• Opening and closing of the store.
• Additional duties as assigned.
