Job summary

Guitar Center is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a team responsible for receiving, stocking, merchandising, and executing planograms while upholding our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You will partner with the Store Manager to hit EBITDA and margin targets, recruit and train staff, and ensure smooth operations across shipping, warehousing, and merchandising.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in retail or warehouse settings, a valid driver’s license, proficiency

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in retail or warehouse settings.
• Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance.
• Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be able to work in a loud environment for 5-8 hours.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to achieve EBITDA, sales, and margin goals.
• Ensure proper staffing levels within the department and hire/train operations associates.
• Assist in training all levels of operations staff.
• Oversee shipping and receiving of gear and store items.
• Maintain warehouse organization and stock management.
• Oversee loss prevention, safety, inventory control and business reporting.
• Perform signage/pricing audits to ensure planogram compliance (POP, SKU, inventory).
• Step in as acting manager to drive sales when needed.
• Manage opening and closing of the store.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
