Guitar Center Inc. seeks an Operations Manager to lead the team responsible for receiving, stocking, merchandising, and presenting products on the sales floor in line with planograms and promotions, while nurturing an inclusive, music-forward culture.

The role emphasizes delegation, initiative, and strong interpersonal communication, with priorities on staffing, training, shipping/receiving, inventory control, and daily store operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in retail or warehouse settings.
• Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be able to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to achieve EBITDA, sales, and margin goals.
• Ensure proper staffing and training of operations associates.
• Oversee shipping/receiving of gear and store items.
• Maintain warehouse organization and stock levels; upkeep of the facility.
• Conduct loss prevention, safety, inventory control, and financial reporting.
