Job summary

The Princeton University Art Museum invites applications for a Visitor Experience Supervisor (VES) to support the Manager of Visitor Experience in overseeing the Visitor Experience Team across the Museum, Art@Bainbridge, and special events. The VES will recruit, hire, and train VERs, coordinate daily staffing, and ensure a welcoming, high‑quality visitor experience.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience or managing a team or project.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with the public and front-line staff.
• Flexibility to work Sundays and one weeknight.
• Proficiency with common software and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing for Information Desk, VERs, and Art@Bainbridge to ensure adequate engagement.
• Coordinate daily communication with Visitor Experience Team for program readiness.
• Assist MVE in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding VERs, including PU Student VERs.
• Supervise VERs to ensure equitable and respectful visitor services and growth.
• Plan regular team meetings and training sessions for the Visitor Experience Team.
