Job summary

Swingtech is seeking two IT Specialists to support a federal museum's information technology, gallery systems, theater systems, and interactive exhibits. The role focuses on maintaining high‑availability systems, troubleshooting issues, and supporting events, with onsite duties in New London, CT.

Ideal candidates will have hands‑on experience in an operational environment where system availability directly affects visitor experience, including Windows/macOS, VLANs/VPNs, and cybersecurity

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of systems administration, network support, or related technical‑support experience.
• Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments.
• Hands‑on knowledge of VLANs, VPNs, Wi‑Fi networks, firewalls, access controls, encryption, and cybersecurity practices.
• Experience troubleshooting workstations, network equipment, servers, projectors, or interactive tech.
• Knowledge of cloud storage, hosted apps, SaaS, backup, restoration, and disaster‑recovery practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support museum IT, gallery, theater, and public-facing systems.
• Troubleshoot Windows and macOS workstations, servers, and network devices.
• Support connectivity (VLANs, VPNs, Wi‑Fi) and remote access environments.
• Perform system backups, restorations, updates, and data‑protection tasks.
• Document incidents and corrective actions with standard procedures.
