Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience is required, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience with medical billing and patient accounting systems is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, effective, quality customer service and practice support.
• Perform general office duties including scheduling, coding, registration, and billing.
• Maximize revenues by collecting payment at time of service.
• Enter accurate billing information into the patient accounting system.
• Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate medical records.
• Respond to patient inquiries by phone or in person about tests and procedures, bills and referrals.
• Follow up on missing billing information and ensure timely record updates.
