Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist at our Seven Fields outpatient center. As the front desk point of contact, you will ensure a welcoming experience for patients and help manage check-in, scheduling, and payments.

The role is per diem with schedule hours not guaranteed. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $19.00 per hour, depending on experience.

You will interact with patients, insurance companies, and clinical staff to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Healthcare experience is required.
• One year of outpatient (OP) experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide visit expectations and next appointment details.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Coordinate communications with insurers, attorneys, translators, and center leadership.
• Collect co-pays and manage payer approvals, authorizations, and verifications.

As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and the business side of our center. Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Healthcare experience

Preferred:

• 1 Year of OP Experience
