Job summary

Physician Specialists of Northern Jersey LLC is seeking an outstanding front desk medical receptionist for our multi-specialty practice (Rheumatology, Pulmonology, Sleep Medicine and Internal Medicine).

The candidate must have at least 2 years of front desk experience in the medical field, with excellent phone, verbal, and typing skills, and be personable, detail oriented, and capable of handling high call volumes. This full-time role includes a late-night shift and core hours 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years front desk experience in medical field.
• Excellent phone, verbal and typing skills.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical terminology.
• Detail oriented with ability to handle high call volumes.
• Availability for full-time, Monday–Friday 9:00–17:00 plus one late night.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and register new patients in EMR; enter demographics.
• Handle copayments and account balances; verify insurance eligibility.
• Schedule appointments; coordinate tests and referrals.
• Answer a 10-line phone system; triage calls to staff.
• Process medical records requests for disability/legal/insurance.
