Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a Sonographer I in Cooperstown, NY to perform multi-specialty ultrasound exams and report findings under supervision of Medical Imaging leadership.

The role requires maintaining equipment, QA, patient scheduling, and a commitment to ongoing professional development with ARDMS education credits. On-call shifts may be required per location, with support from Ultrasound leadership.

Qualifications

• Completion of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) or Vascular Technology education, required.
• Experience in ultrasound modalities (general, vascular, or echocardiography) preferred.
• ARDMS or RVT registration within 2 years of hire; BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams according to departmental procedures.
• Operate sonographic equipment independently and communicate results.
• Maintain QA, equipment, and patient scheduling in a safe, ethical manner.
• Assist in training staff and contribute to protocol improvements.
