Job summary

CommUnityCare is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound examinations and generate high-quality diagnostic images across diverse patient populations. You will assess patients, select appropriate equipment, and communicate findings to physicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

The role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to infection control practices, and collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team at CommUnityCare Health Centers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years radiologic/imaging experience.
• Formal certification/licensing: CCT/CRT/ARDMS/CCI and BLS upon hire.
• Ability to read and communicate in English; additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical assessment of patient to select appropriate equipment for sonography per protocols.
• Explains the test to patient and assists with positioning.
• Assesses pain interference and contacts physician if intervention is needed.
• Maintains patient safety and reduces medical errors.
• Performs quality control checks and maintains QC logs.
• Completes ultrasound exams per CommUnityCare policies and procedures.
