Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a Sonographer I to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across specialties under supervision. You will manage equipment, ensure QA, and communicate results to physicians with a focus on patient care.

The role requires ARDMS or RVT registration within two years, BLS, and a commitment to ongoing education and safety standards while supporting a collaborative imaging department.

Qualifications

• Completion of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) or Vascular Technology education, required.
• ARDMS or RVT registration within 2 years of hire date, required.
• BLS Certification, required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ultrasound exams according to departmental procedures.
• Operate sonographic equipment independently and report results.
• Maintain workflow, equipment, QA, and safety in the ultrasound suite.
• Assist in training staff and QA initiatives.
• Communicate findings clearly to physicians and patients.
