Job summary

Cedarfield in Richmond, VA seeks a Maintenance Technician to join our community operations. This full-time role runs 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Monday–Friday with on-call rotation; you’ll maintain and repair building systems across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and site vehicles.

Minimum three years in maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and vo-tech training are required or preferred. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and resident-focused service in a senior living

Qualifications

• High-school education or GED is required.
• Vo-tech or specialized training preferred.
• Minimum three years’ experience in building and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Repair a wide variety of building features per department policies.
• Assist in the preventive maintenance program and maintain records.
• Assist maintenance staff to complete repairs to the facility in a timely fashion.
• Trouble shoot equipment and report repair needs to supervisor.
• Serve as on-call maintenance during after-hours emergencies.
• Attend safety meetings and training as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and suggest improvements to operations.
• May assist with landscape maintenance and snow removal as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
