Job summary

Pinnacle Living in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our on-site facilities team. You will perform a variety of repair tasks across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and related trades to keep our community operating smoothly.

This full-time role requires a high-school education, several years of maintenance experience, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Weekend on-call duties and safety training are part of the job, with a focus on resident comfort and

Qualifications

• High-school education or GED equivalency required.
• Vo-tech training or specialized training courses in associated fields preferred.
• Minimum three years’ experience in building and equipment maintenance and repair required.

Responsibilities

• Repair a wide variety of building architectural features such as doors, locks, windows, screens, fixtures, etc., according to department policies and procedures.
• Assist in implementing a comprehensive preventive maintenance program and maintaining records.
• When assigned, assist other maintenance team and staff to complete maintenance and repairs.
• Trouble shoots equipment and makes recommendations on repair needs; report to supervisor.
• Serve as the designated on-call maintenance person to cover after-hour emergencies.
• Attend safety meetings and trainings as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and suggest improvements for operation and safety.
• May assist with landscape maintenance and snow removal as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
