Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support operation and repair of commercial properties. You will troubleshoot and maintain a wide range of building systems, equipment, and finishes, while ensuring safety and compliance with codes and company policies.

The role requires at least a High School diploma and 2+ years in a commercial property setting, with hands-on skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
• Technical, vocational or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC.
• Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles and wall coverings; repaint as needed.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate to upgrade maintenance operations and implement savings opportunities.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in facility and grounds maintenance.
• Respond to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety and preventative maintenance.
