Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician in the San Diego area to address apartment and property maintenance duties while upholding high customer service and curb appeal. Duties include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance as assigned by the supervisor.

You will perform preventative maintenance, manage work orders, and communicate with maintenance leadership, ensuring safety and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in the property management industry or directly related field.
• Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance functions across electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance as directed by the supervisor or manager.
• Perform basic carpentry tasks: wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, ceramic tile repair.
• Proactive preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator and more.
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion to company standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and common areas for safety and cleanliness and identify needed repairs.
