Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate need for a General Maintenance Worker I at Stanford Healthcare Center in Palo Alto, CA. The technician reports to the Assistant Chief Engineer and leads initiatives to ensure timely delivery of services through a proprietary facilities supplier network.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other trades, plus safety meetings and on-site coordination. On-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years mechanical experience in electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.
• Must possess applicable certifications, licenses and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment and grounds.
• Attends weekly toolbox safety meetings and follows safety procedures.
• Performs minor painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical tasks as needed to keep client facilities in like-new condition.
• Estimates time/materials and assists Operations Manager with quotes for non-basic scope work.
• Participates in on-call rotation, including after-hours, weekends and holidays.
