Job summary

EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Building Engineer at Stanford Healthcare Center in the Palo Alto / Lower Peninsula CA. area.

Responsible for operation, replacement, repair and maintenance of building related mechanical, electrical, control systems, plumbing, air handling units, pumps, heat exchangers, expansion joints, and other building mechanical systems. Work involves the lifting of heavy mechanical equipment and apparatus, and may be performed in areas of extreme heat

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in central building equipment operation.
• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related systems.
• Certification: ET card, Journeyman license or EPA Universal.
• Ability to repair electrical, plumbing and HVAC aux systems.
• Strong knowledge of building safety and emergency systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, replacement, repair and maintenance of building systems.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies.
• Inspect electrical circuits and equipment; write reports.
• Order materials and coordinate with Supervisors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems.
