Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services is seeking a General Maintenance Worker II for the Stanford Health Care site in the Palo Alto area, CA. The technician will perform preventive maintenance and repairs across multiple trades, reporting to the Assistant Chief Engineer and coordinating with suppliers to fulfill client requirements.

Qualified candidates will have 2–5 years of mechanical experience (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting) and hold applicable licenses.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Degree / Certification, or equivalent professional experience in trades.
• 2–5 years mechanical experience including electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
• Certifications, licenses, and valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• HVAC EPA Universal License or ET Card / Journeyman Electrical License.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Lead field tasks and manage work orders to meet client requirements.
• Use MAXIMO or similar systems for job planning and execution.
• Participates in on-call rotation, including after-hours, weekends and holidays.
