Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services (EFS) has an immediate need for a General Maintenance Worker I at Stanford Healthcare Center in Palo Alto, CA. The technician will report to the Assistant Chief Engineer and lead key initiatives in an assigned geographical territory to ensure timely delivery of EFS services to dispersed clients.

The role requires experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and related trades, with a valid driver’s license and applicable certifications.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing etc.
• Two years mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry required; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine painting, carpentry work to maintain facilities in like-new condition.
• Performs minor plumbing maintenance including unclogging toilets and leaks repair.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance within state requirements; replaces fixtures, switches, outlets, bulbs.
