Job summary

Saint Dominic's Family Services is seeking a Medical Appointment Assistant to provide administrative and logistical support to the Nursing Department and Residential Services in coordinating medical care and appointments. The role involves scheduling, coordinating transportation, and maintaining appointment records across multiple residential sites with strict confidentiality and teamwork.

You will assist with documenting medical information in EMR systems and communicate with healthcare

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Healthcare scheduling/office administration experience preferred.
• Experience with developmental disabilities or residential services is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical appointment processes is a plus.
• Willingness to work at different Residential Services locations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate medical, dental, and specialty appointments.
• Maintain current appointment calendar and coordinate transportation.
• Prepare and organize documentation for appointments and obtain medical records.
• Track referrals and follow-up appointments as directed by Nursing.
• Maintain appointment records in EMR and related systems.
• Communicate appointment changes to staff and care teams.
