Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to keep day-to-day clinic operations running smoothly for patients and the clinical team. You will proactively prepare patient charts and ensure information is up-to-date for those seen in our facilities, with multiple patients daily depending on providers on-site.

You will perform routine patient care such as taking vital signs, venipuncture, collecting specimens, EKGs, and POCTs, document patient history, reconcile medications in the EMR, note

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED at hire.
• Medication Aide 40-hour course or current certification required if applicable.
• Basic Life Support - CPR within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts proactively and ensure information is up-to-date for patients seen in the facility.
• Take vital signs, venipuncture, collect specimens, EKGs/ECGs, and POCTs.
• Collect patient history and reconcile medications in the EMR.
• Note the primary complaint/reason for visit.
• Set up instruments and equipment for medical providers (MD, DO, PA NP).
• Assist with procedures as needed.
