Job summary

McCoy-Rockford, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking an in-office HR Generalist to serve as the primary HR resource for the Austin and San Antonio markets.

The role covers recruiting, onboarding, payroll backup, benefits administration, and compliance, with travel between Austin and San Antonio as needed. The position requires a minimum of five years of HR experience, a bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, and hands-on proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and benefits/policy administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum five years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an HR Generalist/Operations role.
• Hands-on experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee lifecycle administration, benefits, payroll processing, and commissions.
• Experience with HR/benefits invoice reconciliation and audits preferred.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now or another major HRIS/payroll platform is strongly preferred; multi-location HR support experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of federal and Texas employment laws and general HR compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary day-to-day HR resource for Austin and San Antonio employees and managers, providing guidance on HR processes, benefits, payroll, policies, onboarding, and employee resources.
• Partner with HR leadership to ensure consistent policy administration and program implementation.
• Support regional leaders with routine HR administration while maintaining a visible HR presence.
• Travel regularly between Austin and San Antonio and to other Company locations as needed.
• Lead full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including job postings, sourcing, resume review, candidate screening, interview coordination, and communication.
• Coordinate onboarding from offer through HR, payroll, IT, policy, compliance, and training requirements.
• Assist with payroll backup, review compensation/deductions/time records, and support payroll processes.
• Coordinate, document, and process commission information with Sales, Finance, Accounting, and leaders; maintain schedules and historical records.
• Administer benefits enrollment and open enrollment communications; reconcile vendor invoices and payroll data; assist with audits.
