Job summary

Slate is seeking a Facilities Manager to support the Head of Facilities in daily operations, maintenance, and projects across corporate and satellite offices. You will balance routine tasks with multi-site coordination in Troy, MI; Chicago, IL; Phoenix, AZ; and more, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least five years of experience, vendor management, and proficiency in CMMS and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered with a minimum of five years of related experience.
• Experience managing service vendors and contractors, including bid solicitation and performance oversight.
• Proficiency with facilities management software and standard office tools; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational needs of all corporate and satellite office facilities; primary escalation point for facilities issues.
• Coordinate maintenance for building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, life safety, and access control.
• Implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program; track work orders and service history.
• Conduct site inspections to identify maintenance, safety, or aesthetic issues needing attention.
• Liaise with landlords and property managers at leased locations and coordinate building services.
