Job summary

TEGNA Inc. in Denver seeks a Sports Partnership Account Executive to drive revenue across 9NEWS and TEGNA’s multiplatform sports portfolio.

You will join a team of Account Executives to develop and close sports advertising opportunities, connecting advertisers with premier properties such as the Denver Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche, and Rockies across broadcast, digital, streaming, and OTT. Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in sports-centric media.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Strong understanding of sports marketing and sponsorships.
Ability to translate objectives into measurable sports marketing solutions.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and close sports advertising revenue with new and existing clients.
Join client sales calls as sports subject matter expert to uncover needs and opportunities.
Support sales process from prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and post-sale transition.
Develop strategic sports marketing solutions tied to key properties and programming.
Create campaigns across broadcast, digital, streaming, and content sponsorships.
Upsell clients across the 9NEWS sports and media product line.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build integrated campaigns.
Maintain relationships with clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
Manage CRM activity, pipeline, forecasts, and revenue updates.
Represent 9NEWS at client events and hospitality opportunities.
