Job summary

Ascension in Milwaukee, WI, seeks a Radiologic Technologist in the Imaging Dept. for a day shift, full-time role. You will position patients, set technical parameters, and assist physicians during diagnostic exams.

You will prepare contrast media and medications, follow safety standards, and ensure high-quality images are submitted to PACS with correct patient data. Full-time day shift offers stability and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High school equivalency with 2 years cumulative experience or an associate/technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
  • Licensure/registration in required radiologic/sonography credentials per listed authorities (AHA, ARRT, ARDMS, CCI) before hire.

Responsibilities

  • Position patients and set parameters to perform diagnostic imaging studies.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications per professional scope and regulations.
  • Maintain radiation safety standards and regulatory compliance within the department.
  • Ensure high-quality images are submitted to PACS with accurate patient data and proper markers.

How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Clinical Imaging & Procures: Accurately position patients and select technical parameters to perform diagnostic exams, assisting physicians with advanced clinical procedures.

  • Medication & Contrast Administration: Prepare and administer contrast media and medications in strict accordance with professional scope of practice and federal regulations.

  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Implement radiation protection and safety standards to ensure all department activities comply with regulatory agency requirements.

  • Quality Control & Data Management: Ensure the prompt submission of high‑quality images to PACS, verifying patient data, lead markers, and departmental cleanliness.

What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required.

  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences:

Schedule: 7/70 role; 7 days on and 7 days off;

8:30pm-7:00am

(Will consider 3 days of 12 hour shifts as well to help fulfill work-life balance)
