Job summary

Ascension in Milwaukee seeks a Radiologic Technologist to accurately position patients and optimize exposure parameters for high-quality imaging. You will administer contrast within scope and uphold strict radiation safety standards.

You will monitor patients, ensure timely submission of verified images to PACS, and assist with equipment safety procedures in a busy imaging department. A relevant licensure and ARRT/ARDMS credentials are required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; favorable accepted organizations (AHA/Red Cross).
• Cardiographic Tech (CCI) credential before hire date or job transfer.
• ARRT Radiography credential + General Radiography; Wisconsin licensure required.
• ARDMS Medical Sonography credential before hire date.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and select exposure factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Administer contrast media and medications within licensed scope following radiation safety protocols.
• Monitor patients and ensure prompt transfer of verified images/data to PACS.
• Maintain equipment, follow lock/tag-out safety procedures, and keep a clean clinical environment.

• Clinical Monitoring & Quality Control: Observe patients for abnormal activity during procedures and ensure the prompt submission of verified images and data to PACS.
• Equipment & Lab Management: Monitor equipment functionality, execute lock/tag-out safety procedures for malfunctions, and maintain a clean, orderly clinical environment.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
