Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for a multifamily community in California. The role supports the Property Manager in operations, leasing, budgeting, and team leadership to maintain market-ready standards and maximize performance.

You will supervise on-site staff, ensure policy compliance, and focus on customer service to residents and prospects, driving renewals and occupancy while maintaining financial controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Vocational school required.
• 3+ years of Property Management experience
• 1+ years of Management experience

Responsibilities

• Assist the Property Manager with overall operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits.
• Assist the team by providing superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction and renewals.
• Assist the Property Manager with the day-to-day operations of the on-site team and ensure compliance with Cushman & Wakefield policies.
• Maintain residents' files in accordance with company standards.
• Manage and maintain all aspects of the community budget and finances.
• Work with leasing staff to ensure that leasing/marketing goals are met.
