Job summary

AOG Living in Houston seeks a maintenance technician/handyman to oversee property upkeep, respond to work orders, and perform preventative maintenance for an apartment community. You will repair appliances, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, manage make-ready units, and help ensure safety and compliance across the property.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years in multi-family maintenance or related experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; multi-family experience preferred.
HVAC/Freon Recovery certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry and appliance repairs preferred.
CamT certification is a plus.
Must supply own hand tools and be capable of using a variety of maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

Respond to resident/management requests and work orders.
Prioritize tasks using work orders and schedules; address emergencies as needed.
Repair/replace appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and other building systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and units.
Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and ensure make-ready compliance.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops and work areas.
