Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Multifamily properties in Lancaster, CA. You will perform make-ready tasks, respond to resident needs, and handle essential maintenance duties to ensure quality living spaces.

The role requires technical skills in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs, with on-call availability for after-hours emergencies. A High School Diploma and 1+ years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school.
• 1+ years of related experience.
• EPA 608 - Type II and CPO or local city certificate.
• Ability to read/understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares make ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general repairs to ensure quality move-in experience.
• Responds to resident requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintains maintenance functions: plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal (if applicable).
• Maintains grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities for safety and operation.
• On-call scheduling may be required for after-hours emergencies.
• Reports maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Performs maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance supervisor.
• Attends training programs as required by Cushman and Wakefield.
• Delivers superior customer service and represents the company professionally.
• Dresses per uniform and appearance standards.
• Maintains safety procedures and safeguards all tools and equipment.
