Job summary

Avanath Capital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to create a safe, attractive living environment for residents and staff. You will perform hands-on maintenance, diagnose issues, and support make-ready tasks across multifamily communities in a fast-paced setting.

You will be on-call for emergencies, collaborate with vendors and partners, and help uphold safety standards while delivering top-notch customer service to residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience.
• Hands-on maintenance skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, and pools.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred; CPO a plus.
• On-call availability for emergencies.
• Reliable transportation and a positive attitude.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel, internet, e-mail).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with every interaction and high-quality maintenance.
• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance; diagnose and repair defects.
• Finish make-ready process for vacant homes and coordinate vendors.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Assist cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and track inventory.
• Follow safety policies, attend trainings, and ensure regulatory compliance.
