Job summary

The Franklin Group in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician. You will maintain property buildings and grounds, diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems, and manage tool inventory.

This role requires finishing tasks promptly, following safety policies, and providing courteous service to residents. A high school diploma or GED is required, with HVAC certification preferred and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of related maintenance experience or training.
• HVAC certification preferred; CAMT recommended; Fair Housing Certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repairs.
• Respond promptly to resident work orders and notify management on completion.
• Maintain daily upkeep of the community and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness, adhere to OSHA standards and company policies.
