Job summary

The Franklin Group in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the operation and upkeep of the property buildings and grounds. You will diagnose problems and perform repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance areas, respond to resident work orders, and keep equipment and tools in safe, operable condition.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or 1–3 years related experience) and a willingness to be on-call; the schedule is hourly, with pay range

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operation and upkeep of property buildings and grounds, diagnose problems, and perform repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance areas.
• Respond promptly to resident work orders and notify management upon completion.
• Keep the community and equipment clean, safe, and well-maintained; manage inventory of supplies and tools.
• Adhere to safety standards and report any unusual or extraordinary circumstances.
