Job summary

Franklin Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Hampton, VA to maintain property buildings and grounds. You will diagnose problems and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and appliances, while responding to resident work orders.

This non-exempt, hourly position requires a high school diploma or GED (or 1–3 years related experience). CAMT/HVAC certs are preferred and Fair Housing Certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience.
• HVAC certification is preferred; CAMT recommended.
• Fair Housing Certification required within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repairs, glass replacement.
• Respond to resident work orders and notify management upon completion.
• Maintain daily repair and upkeep of the community.
• Prepare vacant units with punch-ins before new occupancy.
• Care for inventory of supplies and company tools; keep area clean.
