Job summary

The Franklin Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Stafford, VA property. You will maintain buildings and grounds, diagnose problems, and perform repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances.

Responsibilities include responding to resident work orders, preparing units for occupancy, and ensuring tools and supplies are well maintained. On-call availability is required to support 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training.
• HVAC certification preferred; CAMT recommended; Fair Housing Certification within 14 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license required to travel between sites.
• Ability to read safety rules and operation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Respond promptly to resident work orders and update management on progress.
• Maintain daily upkeep of the community and assays of common areas.
• Prepare vacant units for new resident occupancy.
• Care for and inventory tools and supplies; maintain a clean work area.
• Be available to work on an on-call basis as needed.
